This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BI Analyst or Data Analyst with good experience in VBA, Excel and
Power BI to join a major logistics group based near Birmingham Airport.
The company has gone to strength to strength this year with several record-breaking performances in the last few months. With an average 15% growth year on year the company are not afraid to invest in their employees training and development aspirations.
You will work in a team of 4 Business Information Analysts in a mix of home and office working when things return to normal. Until then you will work mainly from home.
The Role
You will focus on three key areas for the business:
Reporting on Operational KPI's (producing daily / weekly / monthly reports of KPI's for the operation to use) - Past Performance
Business Modelling & Analysis (review current procedures and highlight trends for analysis that will enable the business to make informed decisions) - Present Performance
Strategic Planning (review of future improvements / enhancements that drives the business forward) - Future Performance
Utilising your experience in VBA and Excel you will help automate a number of currently manual processes with data that can range from 100k up to several million rows in Excel.
With this data you will produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports and will create dashboards, graphs and visualisations using Power BI.
They are looking to move some areas across to SQL Server so there will be the opportunity for training and development in this area as well as many other disciplines you could specialise in.
Required Skills
We are looking for someone with at least two years plus experience as a Data Analyst or BI Analyst with experience in Excel, VBA, and Power BI.
Any knowledge of API links and how to integrate them would be welcome but is not a requirement.
Any knowledge of SQL would also be welcome but again is a nice to have.
