ROLE INFORMATION:

A leading Logistics provider is looking to add a number of HGV Class 1 drivers to its expanding fleet of drivers to work from their site near leeds/bradford area.

The role involves delivering to distribution centres and stores in a timely and professional manner. This role involved interacting with the customer, some movement and assisting of off loading from the back of the vehicle to ensure the smooth loading and unloading on sites.

Daily checks before and after shift making sure vehicle is ready for the next driver and complete any associated paperwork is an essential part of the job

YOU WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

Category CE on your licence
6 months recent HGV Experience
You should have held your HGV1 licence for at least 12 months

Job Description: Curtiss-Wright is looking for an ATE Engineer to join our Avionics Team at our state-of-the-art facility by Bournemouth Airport. Here in Bournemouth, we design and manufacture cockpit voice and data flight recorders as well as air data computers.

The Opportunity

As an ATE Engineer you will be working on a variety of projects across a mix of legacy and new production integration (NPI) related to Air Data Computer & Flight Recorder technology. The successful candidate will have previous Avionics Industry experience in a similar role, be able to work independently and have proven experience supporting all stages of the role including production support.

Your Challenge

* Requirements capture for automated and manual test equipment for use with the development, formal verification, qualification and production testing of new products.

* Architecture design for automated and manual test equipment based on the selection of COTS and bespoke modules.

* Develop hardware (simple PCBs and mechanical structures) and software (Labview and TestStand) to implement the test equipment requirements.

* Design and devlop GUIs to support product development.

* Writing software for 'Guided Diagnostics' (to assist in the repair of a UUT which has been found faulty by the ATE).

* Integrate hardware and software to provide an automated test solution.

* Plan and develop test specifications and test procedures for formal verification of the test equipment functionality.

* Plan and develop test specifications and test procedures / scripts for formal verification of new products.

* Support Environmental trials, EMC trials and initial prototype build activities.

* Develop production acceptance test procedures.

* Develop calibration / self-test procedures for all applicable test equipment.

* Design test fixtures and equipment such as break out boxes and wiring looms.

* Maintain current knowledge within their area of technical specialisation and ensure the benefit of this knowledge is realised within their design solutions.

* Support continuous improvement of test equipment engineering company processes.

* Provide definition of work packages to support project planning and bidding.

* Generate work package reports for allocated work packages.

* Plan the labour, schedules and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

* Design, develop and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.

* To complete all allocated tasks within the time and budget specified within the work package definitions.

Your Expertise

Essential Criteria:

Significant LabVIEW and TestStand programming experience, including GUI design.

Experience of designing/specifying/building ATE systems based around USB/PXI/PCIe/PCI/cPCI/LXI and similar instrumentation.

Experience of designing test fixtures and equipment such as wiring looms and break out boxes.

Highly self-motivated and the ability to work without supervision.

Flexible as some out of hours and weekend working may be required.

Desirable Criteria:

Knowledge of Avionics Data Buses / Protocols; ARINC 664, ARINC429, ARINC 717 and MIL-STD-1553.

Some mechanical design experience would be useful (ie Solidworks).

Some knowledge of designing products to meet CE marking requirements (EMC, Health & Safety etc.).

Some experience of hardware design (OrCAD Schematic creation, PCB layout, interfacing, transient protection).

Some familiarity with ARINC602A and ARINC625 (designing test equipment for use in an avionics environment).

Appreciation of a wide range of test techniques e.g. audio performance measurement (distortion, signal-to-noise, speech transmission index etc.), timing, synchronisation, signal switching, waveform analysis.

Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.

Able to elicit and write good requirements.

Able to generate work breakdown structures and produce estimates for work packages.

Your role is to be involved from the go live date, ensuring the build-ability of the programme including, planning, costings, materials, man power, stakeholder management and basically the full project life cycle.

You need experience in large schemes as low cost / high volume projects wont be suitable for this role. Working in the infrastructure sector on any of the following sectors would be required:

Highway
Rail
Water
Environmental
Airports

As the main contractor you will manage both the client / stakeholder meetings as well as the sub-contractor involvement on site. Delivering the specialist aspects of the scheme from Earthworks, Utilities, M&E, Structures etc…

Required Experience

HNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject.

About the Role

About you

You will hold an appropriate ONC/HNC/HND/Degree qualification in Construction / Civil Engineering and will have significant experience working as a Senior Site Agent on major highways projects.

You will also:

* Demonstrate and deploy good contractual and commercial awareness

* Have Knowledge of business management systems

* Hold Strong leadership and planning / organisational qualities

* Have the ability to produce Risk assessments and accompanying Method Statements and maintain a working Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan in accordance with all CDM requirements.

* Have experience of using Microsoft Project and ability to track performance

* Be client focused with regular dialogue and interaction – Internal / External
