We are recruiting for experienced Commercial Gas and Mechanical Building Services Engineer for a well-established company, who are part of a larger group and have been providing Commercial Gas, Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services across the South East for over 20 years.
As a multi-skilled engineer you will be working with BMS systems, UPS Systems, AHU's, mechanical plant, emergency light testing, electrical fault-finding, Sprinkler system test, Generators, Control Panel distribution board, back-up power, L8 (Water Treatment), Fire Alarm Tests and air conditioning equipment as well as working on all Commercial Gas equipment responsible for the service and repair of a wide range of equipment on commercial clients such as Council, Airports, Offices, Gyms and Car dealerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Repairs of commercial gas equipment
Weekly fire alarm bell tests
Legionella compliance checks
General lighting and Emergency checks
Small plumbing repairs
Overseeing sub-contractor visits
Completing site log books
Assisting other members of the team
Providing holiday cover on fixed sites
Meeting clients - Customer facing position
Building long lasting relationships with a strong focus on customer care
Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
Commercial Gas Qualifications (Commercial CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1,COCN1,ICAE1,ICPN1, TPCP1A, TPCP1,CoNGLP1PD )
Plumbing and Heating Level 2/3
PASMA/IPAF/CSCS Card - desirable but not required
FGAS & 18th edition desirable but not required
Legionella awareness training
Understanding of COSSH
Previous experience in the M&E industry is required - retail experience is desirable
Minimum 5 years recent experience working on Commercial Gas Equipment
