
Job Description: Are you a QS with experience working on construction / D&B projects within the energy, environmental, waste, water or utilities industries? Then this could be the role for you!
My client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the team - ideally RICS accredited - who will support the commercial, contractual and financial elements of their projects across the UK.
You will be working closely with Project Managers, Procurement, Subcontractors, Vendors and Clients to provide advice and ensure control of critical project deliverables, managing any risk elements.
You should have experience managing all contractual aspects of a project and working with different Forms of Contract in particular IChemE and NEC contracts.
This role is based at my client's offices near Birmingham Airport however there will be travel to other company offices and client sites involved.

You should be confident in managing the day-to-day requirements of construction / design & build projects, ensuring all contractual dates are met and formal agreements are executed.
You will be providing commercial input into bids / tender proposals and work closely with procurement to evaluate quotations, make purchasing commitments and establish a procurement schedule.
You should have experience in preparing formal agreements for Subcontractors and Vendors, regularly reviewing them and the Main Contract to ensure all requirements are met.
You will collate financial reporting information, prepare budgets & forecasts, make applications for payment and work with the Finance team to ensure they are received on time.
